Oil mills playing a key role in producing high-quality oil: The latest innovations on display at Enoliexpo in Bari

The event at the Fiera del Levante – March 19-21, 2026 – will see the participation of all the most important Italian and foreign manufacturers of oil production machinery.

Many innovations in oil machinery have been announced for the next edition of Enoliexpo in Bari, the only trade fair in Italy dedicated to technology and equipment for oil and wine producers, scheduled for March 19-21.

The participation of all the leading companies in the sector – both Italian and foreign – will allow visitors to compare the various solutions proposed for oil mills, covering the entire production cycle. Among the most eagerly awaited innovations are those concerning crushing and kneading, stages that are increasingly central to the processing cycle in order to improve the aroma, quality, and yield of olive oil. This technological evolution will also be the focus of some of the conferences scheduled during the event, with the participation of the most authoritative researchers in the field of oil processing, who will present the results of their studies.

In short, this is a great opportunity for the more than 4,000 oil millers in Italy to upgrade their facilities, particularly those who did not take advantage of the call for tenders for the modernization of oil mills financed with resources from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), but who will be able to benefit from contributions from regional or national calls for tenders open in 2026. They will be joined by colleagues from Mediterranean countries, who are particularly interested in learning about the innovations of Italian companies, which have always been recognized as the best in the sector.

But there are also many new developments in store for both professional and amateur olive growers visiting the fair. Climate change, new plant diseases and the powerful return of the olive fly are forcing new agronomic solutions, and there is no shortage of proposals at the fair that will go in this direction, combined with new-generation agricultural machinery and tools to reduce costs and processing times in olive groves.

In short, the olive oil section of Enoliexpo promises to be extremely interesting and full of new developments, confirming Bari as a unique and central event for the entire supply chain.

Two months ahead of schedule, exhibition space at the Fiera del Levante is already practically sold out. Naturally, the wine-growing and wine-making sector will also play an important role, offering solutions for vineyards and wineries.
Not to mention Beertech, the section dedicated to craft beer production, a segment that is no longer a niche market.

Free admission. Visitor registration will open on 20 January at www.enoliexpo.com

The 7th edition of Enoliexpo came to a successful close: the international exhibition dedicated to technologies for the olive growing and olive oil, viticulture and wine, and brewing sectors, took place from 19 to 21 March 2026 at the Fiera del Levante in Bari.

The olive grower of the 21st century: challenges and opportunities

What characteristics must a 21st-century olive grower have? What challenges do they face, and what opportunities are available to them? How can they interact to change a paradigm in which their role today appears almost secondary to that of the olive tree?

Resistant vineyards to enrich the ampelographic landscape amid climate change, pathogens, and Xylell

Introducing resistant grape varieties to cope with climate change and the increased virulence of certain pathogens, including Xylella, a bacterium traditionally associated with olive groves but which, as we have seen, is also capable of infecting vines.
